Ben Krige, MBA

As financial professional, Ben has more than twenty five years of experience in financial planning and more than thirty five years in Accounting. He moved to Canada and the Dundas community, on the west side of Hamilton, with his family in 2003 and they have actively participated in community activities ever since. In January 2009 they all became proud Canadians. The family enjoy the diversity of their adopted country and contribute to the community in many ways.

Ben graduated from Stellenbosch University in South Africa with a B Comm degree and completed his audit articles with PwC, South Africa at their Stellenbosch office in the Western Cape. After marrying Rinatha in 1983, they settled in the community of Paarl, where they raised their four beautiful children before moving to Canada. Ben held a variety of financial positions at different companies. In 1992 he completed his MBA part time studies, while working full-time, at Stellenbosch University Business School. At the start of 1993, he made a career change into Financial Planning when he joined Liberty Life’s agency force. In 1997 he started his own full services brokerage under Ben Krige Financial Services. In 2002, he completed a post graduate Diploma in Financial Planning from the University of the Free State and therewith his CFP designation. In Canada Ben held a variety of financial positions at a number of companies. In 2010 Ben upgraded his academics in Canada and obtained a post graduate Diploma in Accounting at Wilfrid Laurier University. Ben joined IDC WIN in 2012 and has a Ontario Life & Health Insurance licence number 05088826 since October 2005 and has mandated E&O insurance since 2005.
